Biography:
Luke Skywalker, first appearing in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), is a legendary Jedi Master and a pivotal figure in the Star Wars saga. In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Luke is a recluse, having disappeared years prior following the tragic fall of his Jedi academy and the betrayal of his nephew, Ben Solo, who became Kylo Ren.
Haunted by his failure and the rise of the First Order, Luke sought refuge on the remote planet Ahch-To, dedicating himself to understanding the Force and the reasons for the Jedi's perceived failures. He severed his connection to the Force, isolating himself from the galaxy's struggles.
His exile ends when Rey, a Force-sensitive scavenger, locates him with the help of R2-D2 and the map fragment carried by BB-8. The movie concludes with Rey offering Luke his father's lightsaber, setting the stage for his return to the fight against the dark side.
