Biography:
Daenerys Targaryen, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, first appears in the HBO TV show Game of Thrones, specifically in the episode "Winter Is Coming" (2011), the series premiere.
She is initially presented as the younger sister of Viserys Targaryen, the exiled heir to the Iron Throne. Daenerys is sold into marriage to Khal Drogo, a powerful Dothraki warlord.
Over the course of the series, Daenerys transforms from a timid girl into a strong and ambitious leader. She becomes known as the "Mother of Dragons" after hatching three dragon eggs, a feat not seen for centuries. Daenerys amasses a large army and sets her sights on reclaiming the Iron Throne for herself.
