Piotr "Peter" Rasputin, better known as Colossus, is a mutant appearing in various X-Men adaptations. His first appearance in the comic books was in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975).
Born in a small Siberian farm, Peter discovered his mutant ability to transform his body into organic steel, granting him immense strength, durability, and stamina.
Colossus is frequently portrayed as a gentle giant, reluctant to use his powers for violence, but fiercely loyal and protective of his teammates, especially his sister, Illyana. In the X-Men films, his appearances varied in scope but consistently depicted his incredible power and stoic nature. He often provides the muscle in conflicts, facing off against formidable opponents.
