Colossus, also known as Piotr "Peter" Rasputin, is a mutant superhero appearing in Marvel Comics publications. His first appearance was in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975).
Born on a Siberian collective farm, Peter discovered his mutant ability to transform his body into organic steel, granting him immense strength, durability, and stamina. He was recruited by Professor Charles Xavier to join the X-Men, where he became a steadfast and loyal member.
Colossus possesses a gentle soul despite his formidable powers and often grapples with the burden of his abilities and the violence he must sometimes inflict. He is also an accomplished artist.
