Biography:
Count Dooku, a prominent figure in the Star Wars galaxy, is a complex character known for his charisma and skill with a lightsaber. He first appears in *Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones* (2002), portrayed by Christopher Lee.
Originally a respected Jedi Master, Dooku was trained by Yoda and later mentored Qui-Gon Jinn. Dissatisfied with the corruption and bureaucracy of the Galactic Republic, he abandoned the Jedi Order and embraced the dark side of the Force, becoming a Sith Lord under Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine).
As Darth Tyranus, Dooku led the Separatist movement, initiating the Clone Wars against the Republic. His motives were multifaceted, driven by genuine belief in a better system of governance and also manipulated by Sidious to further the Sith's agenda. Dooku was a formidable duelist, defeating Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker on several occasions. He was ultimately betrayed and killed by Anakin Skywalker under the orchestration of Palpatine in *Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith* (2005).
