Darth Vader, born Anakin Skywalker, was a central figure in the Star Wars saga. Born on Tatooine and strong with the Force, he was freed from slavery and trained as a Jedi.
Initially a gifted and powerful Jedi Knight, Anakin struggled with emotional attachments and premonitions of loss. These vulnerabilities were exploited by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, who manipulated him with promises of saving his loved ones.
