Biography:

Darth Vader is a central character in the Star Wars saga. He first appears in *Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope* (1977), portrayed primarily by David Prowse and voiced by James Earl Jones.

Originally known as Anakin Skywalker, he was a powerful Jedi Knight prophesied to bring balance to the Force. However, manipulated by Emperor Palpatine, he succumbed to the dark side and became a Sith Lord, adopting the name Darth Vader.

As Vader, he served as a fearsome enforcer of the Galactic Empire, known for his imposing black armor, breathing apparatus, and mastery of the Force.

Throughout the original trilogy, Vader's past and his connection to Luke Skywalker are revealed, leading to a final confrontation where he redeems himself by destroying Palpatine and sacrificing his own life.
