Biography:

Darth Vader, a central figure in the Star Wars Original Trilogy, first appeared in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). Born Anakin Skywalker, he was a powerful Jedi Knight prophesied to bring balance to the Force.

He was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi but was lured to the dark side of the Force by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine). Seduced by promises of power and the ability to save his wife Padmé Amidala from death, Anakin embraced the Sith and became Darth Vader.

As Darth Vader, he became a feared enforcer of the Galactic Empire. Clad in black armor and a distinctive breathing apparatus, he served as Palpatine's right-hand man, ruthlessly suppressing rebellion and hunting down the remaining Jedi. His past as Anakin Skywalker remained hidden until a dramatic revelation to Luke Skywalker, his son, in The Empire Strikes Back.
