General Grievous is a prominent antagonist in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. This particular version, distinguished by his tan armor and cape, is largely based on his appearance in the later seasons of the show.

Prior to becoming the cyborg General seen in Episode 3, Grievous was originally a Kaleesh warrior. After sustaining severe injuries, he was rebuilt into a cyborg, becoming a fearsome commander in the Separatist Droid Army.

His first appearance as General Grievous (though without the tan armor and cape) was in Star Wars: Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones. However, his refined look, especially the tan armor and cape, became iconic during the Star Wars: Clone Wars TV show, especially during battles against the Republic.
