General Grievous, a cyborg Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droid Army, first appeared in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon.

Originally a Kaleesh warrior, he was grievously injured, leading to his transformation into a cyborg. Count Dooku and the Separatists rebuilt him with cybernetic enhancements, making him a formidable warrior.
