Jaster Mereel was a Mandalorian warrior who served as a mentor and father figure to Jango Fett. He first appeared in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.

Mereel led a group of Mandalorians known as the True Mandalorians, advocating for a return to the ancient Mandalorian code of honor. He opposed the violent and destructive tactics of the splinter group, the Death Watch.

Tragically, Jaster Mereel was betrayed and killed during a battle with Death Watch on Korda 6. His death profoundly impacted Jango Fett, who inherited Mereel's mantle and eventually became the template for the clone army of the Republic.
