The Heavy Infantry Mandalorian, often called "Paz Vizsla" though his full name is Pazsly Vizsla, is a character introduced in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. He is a large, imposing Mandalorian warrior known for his powerful armor and heavy weapons, most notably a rotating heavy blaster cannon.
Paz Vizsla is a descendant of the esteemed House Vizsla, a lineage with a long and significant history within Mandalorian culture. This heritage contributes to his strong adherence to the ancient Mandalorian creed, "The Way." He is initially critical of Din Djarin's actions, viewing them as straying from the true Mandalorian path.
Despite their initial differences, Paz Vizsla fights alongside Din Djarin and other Mandalorians to protect Grogu (Baby Yoda). He demonstrates unwavering loyalty to his clan and their traditions. He later accepts Din Djarin's journey and shows remorse for his earlier judgements. Paz Vizsla perishes while protecting his found family during an attack on their covert.
