Pre Vizsla was the governor of Concordia, a moon of Mandalore, during the Clone Wars. He publicly professed neutrality during the conflict, but secretly led Death Watch, a splinter group of Mandalorian warriors who sought to restore Mandalore to its ancient warrior ways.
Vizsla despised the pacifistic rule of Duchess Satine Kryze, viewing her as a disgrace to Mandalorian tradition. He and Death Watch engaged in terrorist activities and allied themselves with the Separatists, led by Count Dooku, in an attempt to overthrow Satine's government.
Vizsla wielded the Darksaber, an ancient Mandalorian lightsaber and symbol of leadership. He was a skilled warrior, often fighting alongside his Death Watch commandos. He was ultimately betrayed and defeated in combat by Darth Maul, who then claimed the Darksaber and leadership of Death Watch.
