Pre Vizsla was the governor of Concordia, a moon orbiting Mandalore, and secretly the leader of Death Watch, a Mandalorian splinter group. He believed Mandalore had been weakened by pacifism and sought to restore the planet to its warrior roots.
Vizsla's Death Watch engaged in numerous violent acts to destabilize the pacifist Mandalorian government. He allied himself with the Separatists during the Clone Wars, using them to further his goals of overthrowing Duchess Satine Kryze.
His alliance with the Separatists eventually fractured. Darth Maul, seeking to build his own criminal empire, betrayed and defeated Vizsla in single combat, claiming the Darksaber, an ancient Mandalorian weapon, and leadership of Death Watch.
Vizsla's legacy is one of unwavering dedication to his ideals, albeit through violent and extremist means. His actions significantly impacted Mandalore, paving the way for future conflicts and ultimately contributing to the planet's subjugation under the Galactic Empire.
