Biography:

Denji, also known as Chainsaw Man, is the main protagonist of the popular Japanese manga series Chainsaw Man, written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. His first animated appearance was in the Chainsaw Man anime television series, which premiered in October 2022.

Denji is a young man burdened with his deceased father's massive debt to the Yakuza. Desperate for money, he becomes a Devil Hunter, working alongside his Chainsaw Devil companion, Pochita. After being betrayed and killed by the Yakuza, Pochita merges with Denji, granting him the power to transform into Chainsaw Man by pulling a cord in his chest.

As Chainsaw Man, Denji gains the ability to manifest chainsaws from his head and limbs. Driven by simple desires, such as eating good food and finding a girlfriend, Denji navigates the dangerous world of Devil hunting, working for Public Safety Devil Hunters to keep his new powers in check and protect humanity from devils.
