Uchiha Obito is a character from the anime series *Naruto Shippuden*. He first appears, although not directly identified, in episode 32 of *Naruto Shippuden* as a masked figure.
Originally, Obito was a member of Team Minato alongside Kakashi Hatake and Rin Nohara. He was believed to have died during the Third Shinobi World War when a rock crushed the right side of his body. However, he was rescued by Uchiha Madara.
Madara used Obito to carry out his plan to end the world. Over time, Obito becomes the masked figure controlling the Akatsuki organization, using the alias of Tobi. He ultimately declares the Fourth Shinobi World War. His motivations stem from witnessing the death of Rin.
Throughout the series, Obito serves as a primary antagonist, manipulating events from behind the scenes. Later in the series, he becomes reformed.
