Naruto

Uchiha Obito is a complex character from the anime series *Naruto Shippuden*. He first appears indirectly in a flashback in *Naruto* episode 32, and later fully appears in *Naruto Shippuden* episode 32.

Initially portrayed as a well-meaning but somewhat clumsy member of Team Minato alongside Kakashi Hatake and Rin Nohara, Obito seemingly dies during the Third Shinobi World War. Crushed by a boulder, he entrusts his Sharingan to Kakashi as a parting gift.

However, Obito survives and is rescued by Madara Uchiha. Under Madara's influence, Obito becomes disillusioned with the world after witnessing Rin's death, orchestrated as part of a larger plan. He adopts the guise of Tobi and manipulates events from the shadows, ultimately instigating the Fourth Shinobi World War.

As Tobi, he initially portrays himself as a goofy subordinate within Akatsuki before revealing his true identity and ambitions. His goal is to create a world of illusion where he can be reunited with Rin. He served as one of the major antagonists of the series before his eventual redemption later in the series.
