The Mandalorian, often referred to as "Mando," is the central character of the Disney+ TV show, The Mandalorian. He is a bounty hunter operating in the outer reaches of the galaxy, five years after the fall of the Empire.
His first appearance was in the very first episode of the show The Mandalorian which premiered on Disney+ on November 12, 2019. Born Din Djarin, he was orphaned as a child during a Separatist attack and was rescued by Mandalorians, who raised him in their warrior culture.
The Mandalorian adheres strictly to the Mandalorian code, rarely removing his helmet in the presence of others. He is skilled in combat and weaponry, and eventually becomes the protector of Grogu, a Force-sensitive child of the same species as Yoda. The pair travel together throughout the galaxy as the Mandalorian accepts bounties and searches for a safe place for Grogu to live.
