Galen Marek, code name Starkiller, is a character from the Star Wars franchise, most notably appearing in the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008).
He was the secret apprentice of Darth Vader, trained to destroy Emperor Palpatine and potentially replace him as the Emperor's apprentice. Marek was discovered as a child, strong in the Force, after Vader tracked him down following the death of his Jedi father.
Throughout The Force Unleashed, Starkiller is used by Vader as a tool, participating in clandestine missions to eliminate surviving Jedi. As the story progresses, he begins to question his allegiance to the Sith and develop connections with the Rebel Alliance.
Ultimately, Starkiller plays a pivotal role in the formation of the Rebel Alliance, sacrificing himself to save its leaders from capture by the Empire. His actions helped ignite the spark of rebellion that would eventually overthrow the Sith.
