Biography:
Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller, was a Force-sensitive human and the secret apprentice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars Legends continuity. He was born on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk to Jedi Knight Kento Marek.
After his father's death at Vader's hands, Starkiller was taken as Vader's apprentice and trained in secret to overthrow Emperor Palpatine. Starkiller's training was brutal, and he became incredibly powerful in the Force, surpassing many Jedi Masters.
As part of Vader's plot, Starkiller was tasked with hunting down surviving Jedi and forming a rebellion against the Empire. He ultimately sacrificed himself to allow the Rebel leaders to escape, cementing the formation of the Rebel Alliance.
Although he is considered a controversial figure due to his immense power level, Starkiller is a significant character in the Expanded Universe, showcasing the dangers of unchecked power and the complexities of the Force. He has since been removed from the Star Wars canon.
