Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller, is a powerful Force-sensitive character from the Star Wars expanded universe. He first appeared in the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008).
Starkiller was the secret apprentice of Darth Vader. He was trained in the ways of the Force, becoming immensely powerful, even capable of pulling Star Destroyers from the sky.
Vader intended to use Starkiller as a pawn in his plot to overthrow Emperor Palpatine. However, Starkiller eventually turned against the Sith and helped to form the Rebel Alliance. He sacrificed himself to allow the Rebellion's leaders to escape, solidifying his place in the early fight against the Empire.
