Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller, is a powerful Force-sensitive character from the Star Wars expanded universe. He first appeared in the 2008 video game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Born to two Jedi who went into hiding, Starkiller's potential was discovered by Darth Vader. Vader secretly trained Starkiller as his personal assassin, intending to use him to overthrow Emperor Palpatine. Starkiller was thus raised in the dark side, learning the ways of the Sith.
Throughout his training, Starkiller's abilities with the Force were extraordinary, exceeding even Vader's own. However, Starkiller's actions led to the formation of the Rebel Alliance, ultimately changing the course of the Galactic Civil War, as he redeemed himself to the light side, sacrificing himself to protect the fledgling Rebellion.
