Biography:

Knuckles the Echidna is a prominent character in Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Knuckles is depicted as a red echidna, known for his strength and solitary nature. He is the guardian of the Master Emerald, a powerful artifact which grants powers, and lives on Angel Island, which floats in the sky.

Initially, Knuckles was tricked by Dr. Robotnik (later known as Dr. Eggman) into believing Sonic was a threat. This led to clashes between Knuckles and Sonic. However, Knuckles eventually learns of Robotnik's deception and allies himself with Sonic and Tails, becoming a valuable friend.

Throughout the series, Knuckles is characterized by his quick temper and tendency to act impulsively, but he is ultimately a loyal and reliable friend.
