Knuckles the Echidna is a prominent character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series by Sega. He is an anthropomorphic echidna known for his incredible strength and fiery temper.
First appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in , Knuckles initially served as an antagonist, tricked by Dr. Robotnik into believing Sonic and Tails were a threat. He guards the Master Emerald on Angel Island, a floating island in the sky.
Over time, Knuckles realized Robotnik's deception and allied himself with Sonic and Tails. He remains a loyal, if somewhat headstrong, friend, often providing his strength and unique abilities, like gliding and climbing, to aid their adventures.
