Jango Fett is a Mandalorian bounty hunter and mercenary who features prominently in the Star Wars prequels, first appearing in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.
Fett's skills in combat, marksmanship, and use of specialized equipment like a jetpack made him one of the most formidable bounty hunters in the galaxy.
He was selected by Count Dooku to be the genetic template for the clone army of the Republic. In exchange for his genetic contribution, Fett requested a large payment and an unaltered clone for himself, which he named Boba Fett, raising him as his son.
Jango Fett met his end during the Battle of Geonosis at the hands of Mace Windu, but his legacy lived on through the clone army and his son, Boba.
