Jango Fett, a skilled Mandalorian bounty hunter, first appeared in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002). He was portrayed by actor Temuera Morrison.
Fett was renowned throughout the galaxy for his combat prowess and marksmanship. He was selected by the Sith Lord Count Dooku to be the genetic template for the clone army of the Republic. In exchange for this service, Fett demanded a substantial payment and an unaltered clone for himself, whom he named Boba Fett, raising him as his son.
During the events of Attack of the Clones, Jango Fett worked for the Separatists, attempting to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala. He was ultimately killed in battle on Geonosis by Mace Windu, leaving Boba to carry on his legacy.
