Darth Krayt, originally known as A'Sharad Hett, was a powerful Sith Lord in the Star Wars Legends continuity. His first appearance was in Star Wars: Republic issue #49. He was a human male who had been a Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars, even working alongside Anakin Skywalker.
Hett fell to the dark side after the Clone Wars, embracing the Sith teachings. He became Darth Krayt and founded the One Sith Order. Krayt believed in a Sith Order based on the Rule of One, where all Sith were extensions of the dark side channeled through him.
He ultimately opposed the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi Order. Krayt's primary goal was to bring the galaxy under his complete control, ushering in a new Sith Empire. His reign was marked by brutal conflict and the corruption of many Force-sensitives.
