Anakin Skywalker, as seen in *Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith*, is a pivotal character in the Star Wars saga.
Born a slave on Tatooine, he was discovered by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (first appearance *Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace*) and brought to the Jedi Order. Throughout the Prequels trilogy, Anakin struggles with emotional attachments, forbidden by the Jedi Code.
In *Revenge of the Sith*, manipulated by Chancellor Palpatine (Darth Sidious), Anakin succumbs to the dark side of the Force, becoming Darth Vader. The Mustafar duel, specifically, depicts Anakin's descent into darkness culminating in a lightsaber battle with his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Severely wounded on Mustafar, he is further transformed into the iconic Darth Vader, encased in life-supporting armor and fully committed to the Sith.
