Luke Skywalker, appearing in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Episode 8), is a pivotal figure in the Star Wars saga.

First introduced in Star Wars: A New Hope, Luke Skywalker begins his journey as a farmboy on Tatooine. By The Last Jedi, he has become a disillusioned and isolated Jedi Master living on the remote island of Ahch-To.

Haunted by his past failures and the rise of Kylo Ren, his former student, Luke has severed himself from the Force. He refuses to train Rey, the new hope of the Resistance, initially rejecting his role as a Jedi Master. Ultimately, he confronts Kylo Ren via a Force projection, buying the Resistance time to escape, and becomes a legend.
