Bombastic Bag-Man is an alternate identity of Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, in the Marvel Universe. He is not a separate character, but rather a humorous situation Peter found himself in.
The story begins when Spider-Man sought Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four to remove the alien symbiote costume that would eventually become Venom. Richards successfully removed the symbiote, but left Spider-Man temporarily naked.
Lacking another costume, Peter was provided with an old Fantastic Four suit. To conceal his identity, he was given a paper bag to wear over his head, with eye holes cut out. A "Kick Me" sign was taped to his back as a prank by Johnny Storm, the Human Torch.
This makeshift costume became known as the "Bombastic Bag-Man." Although only appearing for a short time, the Bag-Man has become a memorable and comedic part of Spider-Man's history, representing Peter's resourcefulness and willingness to endure humiliation in the name of heroism.
