Black Mask, as portrayed in Arkham City, is Roman Sionis, a ruthless and ambitious Gotham City crime lord. Heir to Janus Cosmetics, Roman inherited a company he ran into the ground, blaming Bruce Wayne and Wayne Enterprises for his failures.
Driven by vengeance and a desire for power, he adopted the identity of Black Mask, concealing his identity behind a skull-like mask made from ebony wood. He carved the mask onto his face after a fire disfigured him.
Within Arkham City, Black Mask established a significant presence, commanding a large gang and vying for control of the prison's criminal underworld. He's known for his brutality and enjoys torturing his enemies.
