Trunks is a character from the popular Dragon Ball Z anime and manga series. He first appeared in the manga's "Androids Saga" and later in the animated adaptation.
There are two primary versions of Trunks: Future Trunks and Kid Trunks. Future Trunks hails from a dystopian future where the Androids have devastated the world. He travels back in time to seek help from Goku and the other Z Fighters to prevent his timeline's catastrophic events. He is generally portrayed as serious and determined, burdened by the suffering of his reality.
Kid Trunks, on the other hand, is a younger, more carefree version of the character born in the present timeline. He is the son of Vegeta and Bulma. He is often seen training and goofing off with his best friend Goten. He appears in numerous Dragon Ball Z episodes and the later Dragon Ball Super series.
