Sinestro, first appearing in Green Lantern Vol. 2 #7 (1961), is a prominent character within the DC Universe, most notably associated with the Green Lantern Corps. He was once considered the greatest of all Green Lanterns, serving in Sector 1417.

Initially a respected member of the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro became obsessed with order and control, believing the best way to maintain peace was through fear and strict rules.
