Biography:
Sinestro, a prominent character in DC Comics, is known for his complex and often antagonistic relationship with the Green Lantern Corps. He first appeared in Green Lantern #7 (July-August 1961).
Originally a highly respected member of the Green Lantern Corps from Sector 1417, Sinestro was considered one of the greatest Green Lanterns. However, his increasing obsession with order and control led him to impose a tyrannical rule over his home planet of Korugar, believing it was necessary for maintaining peace.
His methods were eventually discovered by Green Lantern Hal Jordan, leading to his expulsion from the Corps. Embittered and seeking revenge, Sinestro became a recurring foe, often wielding a yellow power ring fueled by fear, the antithesis of the Green Lanterns' will-powered rings. He has founded his own corps that challenge the authority of the Green Lanterns.
