Darth Nihilus is a Sith Lord who first appeared in the video game *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords*. He existed approximately 4,000 years before the Galactic Empire.

Before becoming a Sith Lord, Nihilus was a human male who survived the Mandalorian Wars. The devastation he witnessed, particularly at the Battle of Malachor V, left him scarred and craving the Force. He was discovered by Darth Traya, who saw in him a unique ability to feed on the Force, essentially becoming a "wound" in the Force.

Nihilus embraced the Dark Side and became a Lord of the Sith, possessing an insatiable hunger for the Force. He consumed entire planets, draining their life force to sustain himself. He wore a mask and robes to contain his immense power and to hide the nothingness he had become.

Eventually, Nihilus was defeated by the Jedi Exile Meetra Surik, Visas Marr, and Mandalore the Preserver. His hunger was so great that Visas, able to sense the Force through others, was able to use the Force to harm him, and weaken him until the Exile could strike the final blow.
