Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a key character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Specifically, the Star-Lord seen in Infinity War is portrayed by Chris Pratt.

As depicted in the MCU, Quill was abducted from Earth as a child shortly after his mother's death in 1988. He was raised by the Ravagers, a group of intergalactic thieves and smugglers, led by Yondu Udonta. He eventually adopted the moniker Star-Lord and operated independently, engaging in various heists across the galaxy.

In Infinity War, Star-Lord is a leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He plays a significant role in attempting to prevent Thanos from acquiring the Infinity Stones, ultimately leading to devastating consequences due to his emotional reaction to Gamora's death. His first MCU appearance was in the 2014 film, Guardians of the Galaxy.
