Biography:

Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a central character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy films. He is portrayed by Chris Pratt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Born on Earth to Meredith Quill and Ego, a Celestial being, Peter was abducted by the Ravagers, a group of space pirates, shortly after his mother's death in 1988. He was raised by Yondu Udonta, leader of the Ravagers, and trained in their ways, becoming a skilled thief and adventurer.

Star-Lord first appeared in the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). In the film, he sought the Orb, an artifact containing the Power Stone, but was eventually apprehended and incarcerated. He teams up with Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, forming the Guardians of the Galaxy. Together they fight against Ronan the Accuser, who seeks to use the Power Stone to destroy Xandar.

He later participates in battles against Thanos and aids in the safeguarding of the galaxy, solidifying his role as a key member of the Guardians.
