Erik Stevens, known as Killmonger, is a character featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is portrayed by Michael B. Jordan.
Killmonger's first appearance in the MCU is in the film *Black Panther*.
He is the son of Prince N'Jobu, King T'Chaka's brother, and an American woman. Abandoned by Wakanda after his father's death, Erik grew up in Oakland, California, developing a deep-seated resentment towards Wakanda's isolationist policies and its perceived failure to help oppressed people of African descent globally.
Driven by a desire for revenge and a belief that Wakanda's advanced technology should be used to empower people of color worldwide, Killmonger, trained in covert operations, challenges T'Challa for the throne of Wakanda. He becomes a formidable antagonist, embodying the consequences of Wakanda's choices and presenting a complex perspective on power and responsibility.
