Erik Killmonger, born N'Jadaka, is a Wakandan exile and antagonist in the Marvel universe. His father, Prince N'Jobu, was Prince T'Chaka's brother and stationed as a War Dog, tasked with observing the outside world. N'Jobu grew disillusioned and plotted to share Wakandan technology to empower oppressed people, ultimately resulting in his death at T'Chaka's hands.

N'Jadaka was left orphaned in Oakland, California, consumed by a desire for revenge against Wakanda and T'Challa, the new Black Panther. He adopted the name Erik Stevens and excelled academically and militarily, becoming a highly skilled black-ops soldier with expertise in combat and strategy. His skills rivaled T'Challa's.

Killmonger returned to Wakanda, challenging T'Challa for the throne. He successfully seized power, aiming to weaponize Wakandan vibranium and initiate a global uprising. His methods, however, were considered too radical by many Wakandans. Ultimately, Killmonger was defeated by T'Challa in a battle that resulted in his death, though his impact on Wakanda and its relationship with the world was significant.
