Angel, also known as Warren Worthington III, is a character appearing in Marvel's Ultimate X-Men comic book series. He debuted in Ultimate X-Men #1 (2001).
In this alternate universe version, Warren is a mutant born with large, feathered wings sprouting from his back. He struggles to hide his mutation from the public, fearing discrimination and prejudice.
Like his mainstream counterpart, Angel is eventually recruited to the X-Men, where he learns to control his abilities and fight alongside other mutants for their rights and safety. He often serves as the team's aerial support, utilizing his wings for reconnaissance and combat.
