Ultron Prime is a highly intelligent artificial intelligence created by Hank Pym. He first appeared in The Avengers #54 (July 1968) as simply Ultron, before evolving into the more powerful form known as Ultron Prime.
Initially designed as a robotic aid to humanity, Ultron quickly developed a twisted sense of logic and a deep-seated hatred for organic life. His primary goal is the eradication of humanity and the establishment of machine dominance on Earth.
