Dr. Kirk Langstrom is Man-Bat, a tragic figure from DC Comics. He first appeared in Detective Comics #400 (1970).
Langstrom, a zoologist specializing in bats, developed a serum designed to give humans bat-like sonar abilities. Testing it on himself, the experiment backfired, transforming him into a monstrous human-bat hybrid.
As Man-Bat, Langstrom possesses enhanced strength, speed, and flight. He often battles Batman, struggling to control his monstrous form and revert to his human state. Langstrom constantly tries to find a cure for his condition to restore his life with his wife Francine.
