Biography:
Scott Summers, codenamed Cyclops, is a mutant character from Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the X-Men. He first appeared in *The X-Men* #1 (September 1963).
Cyclops possesses the mutant ability to emit powerful beams of concussive force from his eyes. He cannot control these beams without the aid of ruby-quartz lenses or a visor, which he wears constantly.
Orphaned at a young age and separated from his brother Alex (Havok), Scott was eventually taken in by Professor Charles Xavier and became one of the first members of the X-Men. Cyclops is often depicted as a dedicated and disciplined leader, fiercely committed to Xavier's dream of mutant-human coexistence.
Despite his often stoic demeanor, Cyclops has complex relationships with his teammates, particularly Jean Grey, with whom he shares a long and turbulent romantic history. His leadership style and views on mutant rights have sometimes put him at odds with other X-Men, leading to internal conflicts within the team.
