Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, is a mutant character appearing in Marvel Comics, specifically during the "Marvel NOW!" era. He first appeared in X-Men #1 (September 1963).
Following the events of "Avengers vs. X-Men," Cyclops embraced a more revolutionary and, at times, morally ambiguous approach. He became a controversial figure within the mutant community, viewed by some as a hero fighting for mutant rights and by others as a dangerous extremist.
This version of Cyclops, often referred to (unofficially) as "The Uncanny Hotshot" by some fans, led a team of new mutants and those disillusioned with the traditional X-Men methods. His actions aimed to secure the future of mutantkind, even if it meant taking drastic measures. His powers remain consistent with earlier versions: the ability to emit powerful optic blasts from his eyes, which he controls with a ruby-quartz visor.
