Biography:

Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, is a founding member of the X-Men. He first appeared in The X-Men #1 (September 1963).

As Classic Cyclops, he is known for his optic blasts, beams of concussive force emitted from his eyes. He cannot control these beams without special ruby-quartz lenses or a visor.

Raised in an orphanage following a traumatic event involving his mutant powers manifesting, Cyclops was recruited by Professor Charles Xavier to join the X-Men. He is often depicted as the field leader of the team.

Cyclops is often portrayed as a strategic thinker and a dedicated hero, although his leadership style has been questioned at times.
