Stephen Strange, known as Doctor Strange, is a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon who suffers a debilitating car accident, severely damaging his hands. Unable to operate, he seeks a cure in Kamar-Taj, a mystical enclave in Nepal.
There, he learns about magic and alternate dimensions from the Ancient One and Karl Mordo. He trains extensively, mastering mystic arts and becoming the Sorcerer Supreme, Earth's primary protector against magical and interdimensional threats.
