Bishop, also known as Lucas Bishop, is a mutant character in the Marvel universe, primarily associated with the X-Men. Born in a dystopian future, specifically designated Earth-1191, Bishop is the son of mutant refugees who fled to a concentration camp after being attacked by cyborgs. His powers eventually develop and he's recruited as a soldier in the XSE (Xavier's Security Enforcers).
His life is defined by his belief in the X-Men's legacy as saviors and a need to travel back in time to meet them. Bishop is a powerful mutant with the ability to absorb energy and redirect it, often as concussive blasts.
Classic Bishop is identified by his distinctive 'M' brand on his face, a mark used to identify mutants in the future that he is from.
