Bishop, also known as Lucas Bishop, is a mutant character associated with the X-Men. He originates from a dystopian future timeline where mutants are hunted and oppressed.
He first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #282 (November 1991).
Bishop possesses the mutant ability to absorb energy directed at him and redirect it, often as concussive blasts. This ability makes him a formidable opponent and ally.
Driven by a belief in Xavier's dream, Bishop travels to the past to prevent the events that led to his nightmarish future. This journey often leads him into conflict with the X-Men as he struggles to reconcile his preconceived notions with the realities of the present.
