Rick Grimes is the central protagonist of The Walking Dead TV show, first appearing in the pilot episode, "Days Gone Bye." He is portrayed by actor Andrew Lincoln.
Initially a sheriff's deputy in a small Georgia town, Rick awakens from a coma to find the world overrun by zombies. He quickly becomes the de facto leader of a growing Zombie Survival Crew, comprised of other survivors he encounters.
