Biography:
Harvey Dent, better known as Two-Face, is a complex villain from DC Comics' Batman universe. He first appeared in Detective Comics #66 (August 1942).
Before his disfigurement, Dent was Gotham City's charismatic and incorruptible District Attorney, nicknamed "Apollo" due to his handsome features. He was a close ally of both Batman and Commissioner Gordon, forming a powerful trio fighting against organized crime.
However, during a trial against mob boss Sal Maroni, Maroni threw acid at Dent, scarring the left side of his face beyond recognition. This horrific event, combined with repressed mental issues, shattered Dent's psyche. He became the criminal known as Two-Face, whose actions are dictated by the flip of a scarred, two-headed silver dollar. One side is pristine, representing his former self, while the other is defaced, symbolizing his monstrous persona.
Two-Face is driven by chance and duality. He commits crimes based on the outcome of his coin flips, believing in a warped form of justice where fate decides guilt or innocence. Though he's a formidable opponent, glimpses of Harvey Dent sometimes resurface, struggling against the influence of Two-Face.
